For Board Version: U1 / U2
It is highly recommended to back up your “CD KEY” before proceeding with the update. You can find it under “Settings -> System.”
There are two ways to update:
- Firmware Only Update: This method will not clear your settings.
- Full Erase & Rewrite: This method will clear all settings, including the device’s “CD KEY.”
Even if you choose the Firmware Only Update method, you must back up your “CD KEY.” Unexpected issues—such as update failures, power outages, or accidental drops—can occur. A lost “CD KEY” is unrecoverable; however, if you have a backup, you can use the “Full Erase & Rewrite” method to restore your device if something goes wrong.
The first method is generally recommended. If you choose “Full Erase & Rewrite,” you will need to connect to Wi-Fi, access the web management interface, navigate to “Settings -> System,” enter your “CD KEY,” save, and restart the device.
